John’s family tree is filled with two things going back several generations: swimmers and military veterans. With those family ties, destiny let him accomplish both at one place! He was an NCAA swimmer and water polo player at the United States Naval Academy. Aftervleaving the Academy, he spent several years as an officer in the Navy, deploying twice to the Middle East and North Africa, before suffering a spinal injury.
Once recovered and having left the Navy, he spent several years in the commercial real estate and M&A before returning to sport and began to build the foundation of Kōru Performance. He's now an avid triathlete and the father of two daughters with his wonderful wife, Kristina, who is an avid runner and mother of two future triathletes!
Mitch is a former National Champion and Junior Record Holder swimmer from the United Kingdom. He's now a world-class triathlete and multisport coach. He holds the swim course record for Ironman Cozumel 70.3 and to this day still holds the 200 Breastroke Junior Record in the UK. That said, he's a pack leading swimmer and an amazing athlete!
With both an undergraduate and graduate degree from Texas Christian University, he's just as much of an intellectual powerhouse as he is on the race course!
He brings a passion for the development of sport and pushing the human body to its limits. Don’t let the accent fool you, he may have been born and raised in England, but he’s a Texan at heart!
Gary is the brain behind Kōru's industry disrupting technology with the ANMO hydrotherapy recovery system. Coming from both the aerospace and automotive industry; he holds utility, design and plant patents in several fields. We believe that he is a jack of all trades, and a master in nearly them all!
Gary is the keystone for advancing technology in sport to drive high performance outcomes for athletes. And just like Bob Ross, he’s a veteran of the Air Force!
